Summer Bishil, an American actress who is famous for portraying Margo Hanson on the Syfy fantasy series The Magicians. She had previously gained recognition for playing the role of an American girl aged 13 Jasira Maroun who undergoes turbulent personal struggles against the context of the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. The film was later named one of Variety's 10 Actors to Watch for 2007. Crossing Over, a 2009 thriller that focuses on crime, in which she played a strong female character named Taslima Jangir was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nominee for the Best Female Lead category.
